POTENTIAL ASSESSMENT
Introduction
An organisation uses many digital systems and programs. Examples could be CRM systems, ERP systems, project management systems, Microsoft Office, intranet, websites, customer portals, payroll systems, SaaS solutions, apps developed for customers, apps for internal use, self-developed systems, and self-developed integrations. These systems and programs can be used by the organisationโs employees, customers, partners, and other stakeholders. We call all the systems and programs an organisation uses the organisation's โIT landscapeโ.
In our experience, we have observed that many organisations can undergo significant improvement by changing their IT landscape or changing how they use it. For example, you can improve your organisation by purchasing or developing better systems and programs or by making better use of current systems and programs.
We offer a free โpotentialโ assessment of your organisationโs IT landscape. The offer applies to every organisation with over 20 employees, be it a company, public institution, or association. The potential assessment is 100% free and non-binding. You are not obliged to buy anything from Tiblo after the assessment.
What is the output of the potential assessment?
After the potential assessment, we will send you a report that proposes three specific improvement measures. The report will describe these measures along with their cost-benefit analyses. So, upon reading the report, you will know what resources would be required for implementing each proposal and how you may benefit from it.
You get to decide what type of improvement measures we should mention in the report. For example, you may want to see the top three quickest initiatives that create positive results or the three initiatives that improve your business the most. Or else, you may be interested in the three improvement measures that cost the least to implement. Whatever your needs, we will draft the report according to your choice.
We will spend around 10 hours on your potential assessment. Our experience indicates that this is adequate time to do a preliminary analysis that proposes valuable improvements to an organisation.
In addition to specifying the type of improvement measures you seek, you can also decide the area of focus for your potential assessment. For example, we can look at your entire organisation or some sub-areas of your organisation. The choice is yours. However, if you have a big organisation, 10 hours will not be sufficient to analyse the entire organisation. In such cases, we can (together) decide the area of focus for the assessment.
What is an improvement?
When we talk of assessing an organisation for its potential to improve, the term improvement implies tangible positive changes in the following four parameters: revenue, costs, customer satisfaction, and employee satisfaction. Hence, while โimprovingโ an organisation, we focus on improving at least one of these parameters. However, if possible, we try to improve all four parameters simultaneously for the best results. In other words, if possible, we try to increase revenue, reduce costs, increase customer satisfaction, and increase employee satisfaction through a single composite exercise.
Theories we use
Our analyses and improvement suggestions are inspired by some of the most recognised process optimisation theories, such as LEAN, Six Sigma, and System Thinking. These theories can help improve many types of organisations, including start-ups, SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises), multi-national companies, public organisations, and non-profit associations. They can also be applied to almost all types of companies, such as production companies, service companies, trading companies, etc.
Many well-known organisations have achieved remarkable improvements by using process optimisation theories. Notable examples are Nike, Intel, Ford, Toyota, Motorola, John Deere, and Caterpillar Inc. You can read more about process optimisation here.
Potential for improvement in the IT landscape
Many questions may arise when assessing an organisationโs IT landscapeโs potential. For example, โHow do we identify the most low-hanging fruit (initiatives) that we can pick (undertake)?โ, โHow do we identify the initiatives that provide the greatest benefits?โ, โHow do we make sure to identify all the improvement initiatives without overlooking anything?โ, โWe think there is potential in action X. Can we get some experts in the field to confirm it before we start?โ, โHow much can we expect action X to improve our business?โ.
Our experts have extensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience in improving the IT landscape through potential assessments. So, we can help you resolve questions such as those listed above and also any other questions that you may have in mind.
If you apply for our free potential assessment, you can get the following benefits: inspiration for initiatives that you never thought of, a second opinion on your existing potential assessments, a fresh perspective on your current IT landscape, access to our extensive experience that we have gained from working on numerous IT projects, substantial theoretical knowledge about improving organisations, validation of the improvement potentials you have on your mind, etc.
Our process
We adopt the following process for potential assessment: (1) We hold an online introduction meeting with you, (2) Tiblo investigates, analyses, and prepares the report, (3) Tiblo presents the report in an online meeting, (4) Tiblo sends you the report.
It may also be possible to meet us physically instead of online if that is what you want. Contact us to know whether a physical meeting would be possible for your organisation.
We ensurevalidity and objectivity
An analysis inevitably involves a certain level of subjectivity. But we keep our improvement measures as objective as possible. Our report recommends solutions that we genuinely feel would be the best for your requirements. These recommendations are not influenced by whether or not we sell those solutions. Suppose our analysis indicates that a new standard CRM system like Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, etc., will be best for you, then, in that case, we will recommend you the standard CRM system even though we do not sell these systems. Thus, we donโt try to use this potential assessment to just pitch and cross-sell other services. We keep our report as objective as possible and only state proposals that are valid and in your best interest.
You are not obliged to choose Tiblo afterwards
When we deliver the report with improvement suggestions, our free potential assessment comes to an end. ย After that, implementing the recommended improvement measures is entirely up to you. You may choose Tiblo or another company to implement the proposals. Or else, you may execute the proposals in-house.
The bottom line is, if you take our free potential assessment, you are not obliged to choose us for implementing the proposed solutions. Of course, if you want our help, we would be glad to assist you (if it is something we are competent in). But it is not mandatory for you to choose us.
You do not need any prior knowledge
You do not need prior knowledge of process optimisation or IT development to request and understand the potential assessment we will be doing. Of course, if you know these fields, it is good. But if you donโt, there is no need to worry. 90% of our clients have no technical skills or experience. But they face no difficulty because we are experienced in effectively communicating complex technicalities in simple and easy-to-understand language. Our report also explains potential improvement measures in a simple, non-technical manner so you can easily understand them.

OUR COMPETENCIES

The employees who carry out potential assessments at Tiblo have extensive academic education and several years of experience in process optimisation. As an example, one of our employees has primarily worked on process optimisation while he was studying for his masterโs degree in production engineering. After that, he worked as a practising consultant in the field. He has developed a deep understanding of how process improvement theories have been implemented in some of Denmark's largest companies and prominent international organisations. Over the last 15 years, he has attained a good amount of theoretical and practical knowledge in process optimisation. Another employee, with a masterโs degree, has worked in user research and consumer insights for one of the worldโs largest data and analytics companies (Nielsen).
At Tiblo, we also have substantial theoretical knowledge and practical experience in developing digital products such as apps, web applications, SaaS solutions, system integration websites, webshops, software robots (RPA), interactive prototypes, graphic designs, explainer videos, etc.
But Tibloโs competencies include more subject areas than digital product development and process optimisation. For example, UX design, user testing, user behaviour, IT security, finance, business strategy, marketing, etc., are some other important activities that we are skilled in. We will incorporate our multifaceted knowledge and experience in analysing your companyโs potential and proposing improvements.

Danske Idrรฆt
Danske Idrรฆt is an independent sports association for employees of Danske Bank in Denmark, with approximately 2,000 members. We needed a new digital platform (mobile app and administration module) to offer our association members a better experience and, at the same time, to simplify the administrative work for our volunteers. Tiblo has been a competent partner while working with us on this new digital platform. Tiblo understood our requirements and took the time needed to understand our organization and pains. We are delighted with the collaboration and the high quality work, offered at a good price.
